By the Fireplace

A brick hearth with burning logs sets the centre of this interior group. A ginger cat lies on the rug, a folded newspaper slips from the armchair, and a basket of wool sits at the edge. The mantel is furnished in miniature: alarm clock, candle, books, two pale figures and a framed landscape.
