Minuet

The two are locked into a single step: he leans back to support her arm while she turns her head toward him over the shoulder. His deep blue coat is trimmed in gold along the front edges, worn with white stockings and black buckled shoes, his hair dressed as a white wig with a queue. Her pink gown is printed with small flowering sprigs and finished with a wide pleated flounce, a red slipper showing beneath. Garlands and gilt scrolls run around the base.
