Minuet (Small)

The gentleman, in a red coat with a lace jabot and a powdered wig, steps back as he leads his partner by the hand; the flat bag at his hip swings with the movement. She lifts a white skirt painted with poppies, cornflowers and yellow blooms, showing the green flounce and a shoe beneath the hem. Both stand on an oval base with a gilt-edged wave frieze.
