Holy Water Font (Two Putti with Shell)

Two putti sit either side of the shell basin, palms flat on its rim — auburn-haired on the left, fair on the right. A blue-edged drape crosses both laps and falls away down the sides of the backplate. That shaped back is outlined in gilt scrollwork, pierced at the top for hanging, and set with yellow roses, buds and leaves at the centre and at the foot. The font stays white and blue, with colour held to the flowers and gilding.
