The font is modelled as an oval shield with a shell crest above and a fluted basin below. Inside the niche a girl stands out in relief, her palms pressed together at the chest, the head slightly inclined and wavy hair falling to the shoulders. Small flowers run along the collar and placket of her pink dress, which is outlined in gold. The niche ground is painted as grey marble, and gilt lines follow the outer edge and every rib of the basin.
