Holy Water Font (Two Putti Flanking the Basin)
The basin is formed as a broad ribbed shell with a gilded rim, flanked by two putti who press against its sides. Blue drapery edged in gold winds round each of them and grey wings fold at their backs. A cartouche at the top carries a modelled yellow rose with a bud and leaves. Fine grey veining marbles the white ground, and gold picks out the scrolls, ribs and the pendant finial below.
