Lady with Doves

The figure is seated on a mound worked over entirely in applied flowers — roses, forget-me-nots, small buds. She wears a laced peach bodice with a pale blue overskirt thrown to one side, the peach underskirt showing beneath. Her raised left hand carries a white dove on the fingers; a second bird has settled on the blossoming branch at her right, where her palm rests. Her head is inclined toward the bird, hair dressed high with one long strand loose.
