The youth has taken a seat on a rocky ridge with one leg crossed over the other. His raised right hand holds a dark grape cluster with its leaf; the left drops toward a woven basket filled with two kinds of grapes, pears and yellow fruit. A blue coat with gilt buttons opens over a patterned waistcoat, a white neckcloth is loosely tied, and the yellow breeches carry a fine hatched pattern above white stockings.
