Little Peasants (Boy)

His left hand rests on the shaft of a spade driven into the ground while the right lifts one orange flower. The green coat hangs open over a waistcoat worked in red, and small green sprigs are painted across the breeches. A wide red hat is pushed to the back of the head, the face turned aside. Behind him a bush of green leaves and red berries grows from the modelled ground.
