Two Friends

Seated on a rock with one leg crossed over the other, the boy holds a bunch of carrots in his left hand and rests the right on the donkey's neck. The little grey animal pushes its muzzle forward towards him. Warm colour carries the piece: rust jacket, ochre waistcoat, yellow trousers and a blue spotted neckerchief. Small yellow and blue flowers are modelled into the grass of the base.
