Children at the Fountain

Brickwork and foliage build the fountain: a dolphin mask at the centre sends a blue jet into a round basin, and the water runs on down a flight of stone steps. On the left rim a boy in a yellow coat and blue breeches holds a painted jug in both hands. Opposite him a girl in a pink skirt and green waistcoat gathers wildflowers. A gold wave border finishes the stepped base.
