Columbine

A black half-mask covers the eyes, a pink brimmed hat sits over pale curls, and the pose turns on the hip. The laced dark bodice meets a yellow skirt painted with scattered rosebuds, finished at the hem by a ruffle edged in pink. Her right hand gathers the white apron mid-step. The commedia dell'arte line of Capodimonte porcelain runs through the whole cast, down to the named plinth with its gold band.
