The harp is given full height — a carved gilt frame and capital with the strings running down toward the player's shoulder. The lady is turned in profile, her left hand behind the strings and her right dropped to the lower register. The ivory gown is painted with small bouquets and edged in pleated frills at the neckline, elbows and hem, the train spread out across the base. Rocaille scrolls and gold lining finish the pedestal beneath her.
