Baby Jesus (Large)

The Child lies on his back with both hands lifted and his face turned upward, dark curls modelled strand by strand. A halo of gilt rays on a white ground rises behind his head. A blue drape gathers across the hips in broad folds while the legs stretch out freely, the feet turned apart. Almost no colour touches the body itself: all of it collects in the blue cloth and the gold, on a plain round wooden base.
