Boy on a Swing

The swing hangs from the horizontal branch of a single trunk, and the boy holds a cord in each hand, arms wide, feet tucked back beneath the seat. His green jacket falls open over a white shirt; the breeches carry a fine brown pattern above white stockings and buckled shoes. Olive foliage with red berries wraps the trunk, and separately modelled wildflowers are scattered across the stony ground of the base.
