Girl on a Swing

Two trunks meet in an arch, and a plank hangs between them on gilt cords; the girl sits on it holding both cords with her crossed legs stretched forward. The laced red bodice and the yellow skirt with its flowered border stand out against olive foliage set with red berries. Red shoes hang in the air at the top of the arc, while the roots at the foot run separately modelled under the stones of the ground.
