Geppetto

Geppetto sits with his legs braced apart, both hands closed around a chisel above a length of timber. Pinocchio's head has already come free of the log, long nose and jutting ears turned towards the old man. He wears a checked shirt, a brown apron, blue trousers and wooden clogs, with a red scarf thrown over one shoulder. An open tool chest, loose gouges and a white bowl sit on the stone-paved base.
