Romeo and Juliet

Juliet stands on the balcony in a long-sleeved coral gown and lowers her hand over the rail. Romeo has climbed onto the plinth with one foot braced on the stone, head tilted back, his blue cloak slipping from the shoulder and a dagger at his belt. The balcony is built from turned white posts and scrolled ironwork, with ivy pushing out beneath it. A gilt scroll closes the rocky base.
