Goddess with the Swan

Seated on a flowering boulder, the figure leans forward and takes the swan's long neck in both hands. The drapery is green with a gold border, thrown across one shoulder and gathered at the hip; a string of pearls circles her throat and a gilt diadem sits in her piled hair. The swan fills almost the whole left side of the composition, its wing laid in broad feathers and its bill lowered to the base. Small wildflowers dot the mossy rock.
