Pinocchio

Pinocchio sits on a course of bricks with one leg crossed over the other, an open book of handwritten lines held before him. The blue cap is pushed to one side, a scalloped collar lies over the yellow shirt, and a red bow with white dots is tied under his chin. His shorts are blue check, with white socks and black shoes below. The joints at elbow and knee are left visible — the figure stays a wooden puppet. Capodimonte porcelain carries both the long nose and the small lettering on the pages.
