Mary carries the Child on her bent arm, her free hand steadying his foot as he reaches up to touch her cheek. A white veil frames her face and passes behind the shoulder, while the teal mantle drops in broad folds that cover most of the figure. Both heads are painted with auburn hair, and a thin gold line runs along the cuff. The bust rises from a round porcelain socle banded in gold, mounted on a turned wooden plinth.
