Traffic Policeman (Bust)

The bust shows a city traffic officer from the chest up: grey double-breasted tunic, turquoise collar tabs, dark tie and a yellow aiguillette across the shoulder. His helmet with a hexagonal badge is pulled low, the gaze held straight ahead, the features modelled broadly rather than smoothed. A white porcelain column with two gilt bands raises the bust above a turned wooden base with a brass plate. The grey glaze of the uniform sets the whole colour scheme.
