Praying Madonna (Bust)

The bust is raised on a white turned socle with gold lines. The Madonna joins her hands before her breast, eyelids lowered and head tilted slightly to one side. A teal mantle drops from the shoulders in wide glazed folds and opens onto a long-sleeved pink robe. A white veil covers her head and passes behind her, with fair hair escaping at the temples. Fine gold bands run at the neckline and wrists.
