Tamerlane

The white horse rears, reins running up to the rider's hand and the mane modelled in broad waves. Tamerlane lifts his right hand open, wearing a gilt-topped helmet with a feather. A blue robe worked in gold goes over green and red, and a round shield with a gilt boss is fixed at his hip. The blue shabraque with gold fringe falls across the quarters, and the rocky base is ruled in gold along its rim.
