The Four Seasons, Small - Spring

She bends toward a flowering clump and takes a blue bloom with her right hand; the left already cradles a posy of small white, blue and yellow heads. Her green cap is pushed to the back of the head, a claret waistcoat buttons over a white blouse, and the yellow skirt is bordered with painted flowers. The clumps on either side are modelled separately and set with blossom, inside a gilt meander at the rim.
