The Four Seasons, Small - Summer

The sheaf is slung across the shoulder and held with both hands, two red poppies and a blue cornflower worked into the binding. The boy turns to the right with his mouth open, a green waistcoat over a white shirt, pale blue breeches edged in red and green. Two apples lie at his foot, and vines with purple and honey-coloured bunches hang at the left. A gilt meander closes the rim of the base.
