Lady with a Violin

The violinist stands half-turned, bow carried out to the right, chin down on the instrument and her left hand along the fingerboard. Her pink bodice is cross-laced over a full skirt that opens onto a white panel scattered with small flower sprays; the sleeves end in ruffled cuffs. A feather is pinned into her upswept hair. The oval base carries a moulded lace border, a gold line and the Capodimonte mark.
