Napoleon

The group is built on a diagonal: the white horse lifts its forelegs, the neck arches, the reins draw tight in the rider's left hand. Napoleon wears a blue coat with gold lace and red cuffs and holds a drawn sabre at his hip, one boot pressed into the stirrup. Gilding gathers in the bridle, the shabraque and the epaulettes, and returns in the saddlecloth trim. A gilt cannon with its shot is modelled on the white base in front of the horse.
