She stands barefoot with her feet crossed, the right arm raised to sweep auburn hair back from the neck. A short grey-white shift edged in blue holds on one shoulder, the other strap slipped down. Her left hand gathers a long cloth patterned with large red and ochre poppies; it runs to the ground and banks into folds that carry the figure. Around the marbled base runs a beaded band.
