Peasant Woman Harvesting

The woman is seated half-turned on a rock, her right hand lowered with a pink bud, the left steadying the basket behind her. That basket is filled to the brim with modelled blossom in blue, rose and ochre. A peach blouse slips from one shoulder while the lilac skirt falls in broad folds to her bare feet. Clusters of small flowers climb the stone support beside her.
