Seated Singing Cherub (Boy)

The cherub lies across a pink cushion piped in gold, one hand holding down a sheet of music while the other lifts a white quill tipped with gilding. His head bends toward the staves, the blond curls modelled in large coils. Turquoise runs through the robe, gold edging its collar and hem, and returns in the soft shoes. The wings spread behind him in white and grey, and the drapery falls in deep grooves along the legs.
