Spanish Cross

Christ appears clothed rather than bare, in a long tunic covered with rows of lilac medallions ringed in gold and filled with red rosettes; gilt embroidery marks the collar and the belt. The arms open along the crossbar and the feet emerge below the hem. The cross itself is coral at the outer edge and violet at the centre, with a cream band dividing the two. Made to hang, the composition reads frontally, without a modelled base.
