Saint Michael the Archangel

Michael stands with one foot planted on his fallen adversary, the right arm raised high and a long gold spear angled down toward the ground. He wears a gilt cuirass over strapping, a green tunic fringed at the hem and a red cloak thrown back from the shoulder, with one broad white wing open behind him. The horned demon lies among the rocks, propped on both hands. The rocky ground rests on a turned wooden plinth.
