The Four Seasons (Group)

Four figures are gathered around a modelled tree root. A boy in a blue hat holds a sheaf of wheat, a young woman in a yellow skirt lifts a grape cluster above her head, a girl at the left steadies a basket of flowers, and a youth in a green jacket warms his hands at a small fire. Colour separates the seasons: ochre straw, purple grapes, rose and turquoise bodices. A gilded wave frieze runs around the oval base.
