Four bay horses run in a team of two pairs, scarlet plumes swaying from their browbands. Half-risen on the box, the driver holds long reins that fan out over the whole length of the piece. In the flower-painted body sit a lady in yellow and a gentleman in a terracotta coat, with a red monogrammed cartouche marking the door. Fine spoked wheels and a cobbled roadway complete a Capodimonte sculptural group built for the horses first.
