Games in the Countryside

Three children have piled into a wooden barrow: one in a yellow dress slides forward, one in a bonnet throws up an arm, a third in a checked cap laughs with her blue shoes in the air. A fourth boy in green striped breeches has taken both handles and is lifting the load. The spoked wheel and the scattered wildflowers are modelled separately across the grassy ground. An arcaded frieze closes the oval base.
