Sleeping Dog

The dog rests on its side with the forelegs stretched forward and the muzzle laid across them, one hind leg drawn in. Chestnut patches of different sizes break the white coat, the long ears hang along the cheeks and the eyes look ahead from under the brows. A black collar with a metal buckle sits at the throat. The figurine spans the full length of an oval wooden plinth fitted with a brass plate.
