The Four Seasons - Spring

Spring from the Four Seasons series carries an armful of flowers. Both hands gather them at the breast and the stems run down along her body, every head modelled separately — roses, daisies, small blue bells. The same roses are pinned into her raised hair. Her gown is painted in vertical rose stripes with olive sprigs between them and a ribbon tied round the hem. A few loose buds have fallen onto the base beside her shoes.
