The Last Supper (Bas-Relief)

Architecture carries the background — three arches on columns with carved capitals and stonework rising behind the figures. Christ sits at the centre with both hands opened over a cloth edged in gold lace, the apostles leaning in from either side. Slender gold halos stand above the heads and set the rhythm across the whole relief. The panel is mounted on deep red velvet inside a carved gilt frame.
