The Holy Family (Large Plaque)

An oval relief is held in a broad gilded frame with carved side ornaments. Joseph, in an ochre cloak, rests on his staff and bends over Mary, who wears green with a red veil and holds the Child as he reaches toward her face. Modelled cloud carries the group at the base and closes the scene above in grey-blue. Warm reds and ochres dominate the painting, while the faces are left in pale porcelain tone.
