Baroque-Style Clock

The case rises to a tall crest of curled acanthus. Scrollwork carries the whole design: it frames the dial on both sides, spreads out into the feet and repeats in the shell at the base. Cream glaze is caught with gold along the ridge of every leaf. A white dial with Roman numerals sits in a gilded bezel, and beneath it a bouquet of pink roses with blue and yellow blooms is painted onto the panel. Two scrolled supports carry the clock.
