Clock with Cherubs

Two cherubs occupy the crest of the case: the elder holds a blue book on his knee while the younger reaches up with a quill, one arm braced on the frame. Both drapes are laid in solid gold, and gilded leaves rise behind the smaller figure. The white dial carries Roman numerals inside a cobalt ring with a beaded edge. Baroque scrolls build the case, a garland of blue roses crosses the lower edge, and the plinth is panelled in cobalt with a gilt cartouche.
