Pastoral Clock (Girl)

The figure is thrown across the top of the case: the girl lies on her front, turquoise shoes kicked up behind her, both hands around a wicker basket of red roses. She wears a bow-trimmed bonnet, a dark bodice over a flowered white blouse and a pink patterned skirt. The Roman-numeral dial sits in a gilded bezel with small painted posies scattered round it. The base is pierced with an arcade over a gold band, so the clock reads through.
