Madonna and Child

The Virgin stands with her head inclined, drawing the Child against her shoulder while he turns his face up to hers. A blue mantle falls in broad folds over a rose-coloured gown scattered with small stars, and a white veil frames the face. The Child's yellow shirt is the one warm note against the cool blue. Roses with their leaves are modelled at the hem, along the cloud-shaped foot of this Capodimonte figurine.
