Putto (Cherub)

The putto sits cross-legged with a sheaf of wheat ears in the left hand, raising a further ear toward his shoulder with the right. The ears are gilded throughout — the only metallic note in the whole figure. One more ear lies on the base at the left. A blue drape covers the hips and the hair is worked in copper-red curls. The white plinth is marked around its circumference with small gold ears, the same motif he holds.
